This privacy policy applies to all personal data collected through my website, email, and any form of communication directly related to my services.

You can find my contact details at the bottom of this website.

I only collect personal data that you provide directly to me, for example via email, an intake form or during our engagement. This may include:

  • Full name

  • Email address
  • Full residential address
  • Information about your organisation and/or company (where applicable)
  • Telephone number
  • Professional information (e.g. role, organisation, CV or background)
  • Notes from individual sessions
  • Any other information you voluntarily share in the context of our work together

I do not ask for or store copies of identity documents, citizen service numbers (BSN), or other sensitive government-issued identifiers unless absolutely necessary and clearly agreed with you in advance.

Your IP address or browser details may be collected automatically via cookies for technical functionality. See section 6 for more information on cookies.

Legal grounds for processing

I process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of a contract – to deliver the services you requested

  • Consent – for example, when you fill out a form or request information

  • Legitimate interest – such as maintaining client relationships or recordkeeping

  • Legal obligation – such as tax record retention for invoices

You can decide to withdraw your consent at any time. This will not affect processing carried out prior to your withdrawal.

Purpose of data collection

Your data is used for clear and limited purposes, including:

  • To communicate with you about your request or our agreement
  • To schedule, deliver and follow up on individual sessions
  • To provide administrative or invoicing support
  • To store relevant session-related notes and materials for continuity and reflection

I do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling, and I do not send unsolicited marketing communications.

Data retention

I keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Specifically:

  • Session-related notes and materials: maximum of 12 months after our final session, unless agreed otherwise
  • Invoice and tax-related data: retained for 7 years in line with Dutch tax law
  • Emails and contact forms: deleted within 6 months of final contact unless an ongoing relationship is in place

If you decide to withdraw your consent, I will delete your data within three months unless there is a legal obligation to retain it.

Data security

I take data security seriously and apply appropriate safeguards, including:

  • A password-protected, personal laptop
  • Encrypted email and secure cloud storage (Dropbox Professional)
  • A secure website connection (SSL certificate)
  • Strict confidentiality in all aspects of client communication and recordkeeping

Sharing personal data with third parties

I do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. I only share your data with third parties when strictly necessary for service delivery or compliance, such as:

  • Website hosting provider (Antagonist) – for secure and reliable hosting
  • Cloud storage provider (Dropbox Professional) – to store notes and client-related materials
  • Accountant – for lawful financial administration
  • Web developer – for managing the website and email functionality, when required

In exceptional cases, your data may also be shared with other professionals or institutions when necessary for service delivery (e.g. assessments or legal requests). You will always be informed in advance and your consent will be requested when needed.

Each third party I work with is expected to handle your data securely and, where relevant, operates under a Data Processing Agreement.

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • To access the data I hold about you
  • To correct or update your data
  • To request erasure of your data (right to be forgotten)
  • To restrict processing or object to specific uses
  • To request a copy of your data or transfer it to another provider (data portability)

To exercise any of these rights, contact me via email. I will respond within four weeks.

You are not required to send a copy of your identity document. I trust in the professional relationship and, where necessary, may verify your request via a brief call or confirmation email.

If you ever feel your data is not handled appropriately or securely, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). You can find their contact details at www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
